Estimate cable length and size required on Extra Low Voltage lighting

Extra Low voltage (12V) dichroic light fittings carry approximately 20 times (240V/12V) the current intensity than that of standard light (240V) fittings. It is therefore important to carefully determine the cross section size of the cable and the length from transformer to the fitting. The following chart is a simplified form recommending cable length per run.
